About Me

29 years old Native American from a reservation in western New York.

I've studied various subjects in school and college including growth and development, abnormal psychology, anatomy and physiology. Taught my culture and traditions from my elders, done my own extensive research into philosophy and art. I have also been a caregiver for the elderly and dementia patients for 3 years, easing them in the end of life. This has been one of the best, eye opening experiences of my life. I am a mother, overcome hurdles such as the death of my younger brother, emergency C section, post partum struggles, a near fatal car accident, neurodivergence and many experiences of loss and hardships. I have spent years working in therapy and with different counselors on top of my own inner, spiritual work. I began experiencing what can be called an awakening as a teenager around 18. I've also traveled all over the United States, found peace and solitude in the mountains and forests. I've considered myself a writer from a young age which ive always excelled in. I am currently writing my first book on life, grief, loss and experience and spiritual awakenings. I enjoy making various works of art most fashion design.
I am big into music, classical, jazz, motown, classic rock, trip hop, lo fi.

Interconnection

2 Dec 2023 15:02

Until you really have a full grasp and see the full picture it may be difficult to see the connection between all things even our fellow brothers and sisters. We've become so divided and made to feel separate and against one another. Well that's the way it can be portrayed. Even looking into different cultures all over the world even In ancient times it becomes evident how similar they are. Views of the earth's healing powers, Rituals, cleansing. We can truly learn the secrets of the universe through starting with our ancestors. We don't realize how sacred our bonds with one another can be and the depths of each of our souls. I'm hoping to bring a little light to this subject

Routine

To start at a more base level and not just throw the terms higher conciousness and enlightment out there, we must have a starting point. One of my favorites is having a stable, consistent schedule. We can look at different morning Rituals and what serves each one of us best. Personally, it does begin with a sleep schedule which I myself have struggled with greatly (we'll touch on this in the future) depending on your work and family, a 10pm-8am is a good starting point for some.

Lots of water for Hydration, small protein breakfast, only one cup of coffee, 10-20 minutes of stretching or yoga, deep breathing, affirmations and meditations even just playing in the background as you make your coffee. While we do this it is important to try and observe our thoughts and where our mind takes us. Also can be labeled as Mindfulness.

This all varies for each individual. I also encourage writing, journaling- writing a gratitude and manifestation list.

I myself take supplements and herbs. Such as Vitamin D, Magnesium, Aswaganda, Fish oil and multivitamins along with green power drinks (superfoods) obviously foods like blueberries, broccoli, almonds basically any fruit or vegetable is ideal. Or even protein bars.

Devoting a few minutes a day for mind expanding activities such as reading, informational podcasts, and even just research in general is very beneficial and also helps with neuroplasticity in the brain.

. Obviously we're all stretched thin on time, so yes time management is important but that only goes so far.

Mastering Emotions

When recovering from mental illness and trauma it is important we learning different coping mechanisms and skills. One of these is understand the power of your mind and learning to have control. One of the important things I've have learned is to recognize emotions, label them, sit with them and understand how they make you feel. It's also important not to dwell on these feelings especially the negative ones that don't serve our wellbeing. We must learn how to release them and let them go so they don't weigh us down. This way of thinking doesn't magically happen over night but as time passes and you are invested in your growth you will see tangible evidence of this and how it effects your own daily life

Glimmers

I recently learned of a new term that I loved and that stuck with me.

G l i m m e r s

Basically something that is the opposite of a trigger, something that is like a little ray of light and that inspires positivity and hope. This is such a great positive aspect to focus on.

Examples of glimmers include

The sunrise

Morning coffee

Kitten cuddles

A smile from a stranger

Someone holding the door for you

A babies laugh

An unexpected letter

A long hug

Sobriety

I think over time it has become common knowledge how dangerous alcohol is. In every way, mind, body and spirit. So much so that doctors are saying there's no healthy amount of alcohol to consume. It all comes with risk. I have been open off and on with my relationship with alcohol. Addiction runs in my family, as most of the reservation I grew up on. In no way am I putting this out there to blast anyone. I want others to understand and come together over this battle. There's so much to be said on this subject it's hard to know where to start. It destroys relationships, homes, families and entire lives. It can effect all areas of health and our bodies. Can cause various forms of cancer, high blood pressure, memory loss, increased risk of dementia, depression and anxiety, problems relating to the digestive system. The list goes on and on. Something I would like to touch on that isn't always talked about is the spiritual effects of this poison. The weakening of the spirit and soul. This can bring you down to a very low vibration and throws pur energy off. This will also weaken our connection to the creator and dims our aura. This makes our own light and infinite well of love, wisdom and truth over shadowed.

Lightworkers

One term the always resonated with me over the years is Lightworker. Lightworkers are chosen beings who are of Light and service to others. They have special skills, compassion, understanding and unconditional love. Many of these lightworkers have seen the darkest as part of their souls path and help find their passion and what is needed to help others. Personally, I work really well with the elderly, dementia, stroke and brain damage victims. We all have our own journey and path we need to find for ourselves and there's always blocks in the way. Lightworkers find they're own truth and beauty through the darkness and shadow side.

Caregiving

One of the greatest experiences and privileges I've had in my life is that of being a care aide [or caregiver] specifically with dementia. I could talk for hours on this subject. I've met some very beautiful people that were well into their 90s that had full lives and amazing careers with living hearts. Even when they're non verbal I've made specially bonds and connections with alot of them. Don't get me wrong it isn't easy or glamorous work by any means but I couldn't imagine my life without my residents and I will always carry them in my heart. I have found great love and oddly enough, comfort in easing those into the end of life. Something I've never really experienced before. It changes your entire life and truly opens your eyes

Gratitude

I am grateful for my family

I am grateful for my daughter

I am grateful for love

I am grateful for wisdom

I am grateful for abundance

I am grateful for Sobriety

I am grateful for my infinite possibilities

I am grateful for my job

I am grateful for my talents skills and abilities

I am grateful for my growth

Love Languages

The 5 love languages can really be essential in our relationships and as a way of properly communicating. There are 5, Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Gift Giving, Quality Time and Acts of Service. These are all ways to convey out love In a healthy way. Personally my language is words of affirmation.  Such as "I love you" and "im proud of you" and really voicing those feelings.

Truth

I hear the words "truth" and "authenticity" or "living your truth" thrown around alot. When you think of it what does it truly mean? There is no single was to the truth or living in the light. This can look different for everyone. In my experience my truth is rooted in unconditional love, compassion, empathy and expansion of my horizons/knowledge. Those are some of my main focuses and what speaks deeply to me to my spirit.

the 7 Chakras

One thing I've found particularly intriguing is the Chakras. Based in Hinduism, these are the 7 energy centers that run up the spine of each individual with their own unique purposes. This could be a long series but it starts at the base of the spine with the red root chakra. Next follows the orange sacral chakra in the womb, the yellow solar plexus is around the naval area. My particular favorite to work on is the green heart chakra. 💚 Next is the blue throat chakra based in expression and the voice. And the last two are the Third Eye and the Crown chakra.

Root Chakra, Muladhara

The very first chakra at the base of the spine/tailbone is what is known as the "Root Chakra" or Mūlādhāra, Root of Existence. The color associated with this energy center is red. This is based in security and grounding and our connection with the earth. This also includes a stable home and financial security. For all of our other chakras to Aligned it is important to begin with this and a sense of stability to grow on. A balanced, unblocked Root Chakra gives us a feeling of safety.

Sacral Chakra, Svadhisthana

The second chakra, located near the lower part of the stomach and under the belly button and most important to me- the womb the sacral chakra. This energy center is located with creativity, sexuality, passion, joy pleasure and expression. This is associated with the water element representing flow and fluidity. There are ways we can work on unblocking and balancing these energies for artistic expression and healthy Sexuality and more fulfilling relationships. We can use healing crystals, orange color therapy, movement in the hips and pelvis and yoga. I believe celibacy can also be healing when it comes to this to focus and heal from traumas and clear out others energy and be cautious of those we are with.

Solar Plexus Chakra, Manipura

The third chakra, the solar plexus chakra is associated with Personal power and responsibility and Identity. Manipura can be translated to city of jewels. This can also be considered the core of our strength, confidence and willpower. We can use this as a tool for our Manifestion when we tap in and unlock these energies. This to me is also associated with those positive affirmations and becoming empowered.

Heart Chakra

The heart chakra, or anahata located in the hearts center in out chest, is associated with Unconditional love, compassion, empathy, forgiveness. For ourselves and others. This balance or alignment we can attain is our ability to have harmonious relationships, ability to have deep meaningful connection with others in romantic relationships and loved ones/friends. One of my favorite quotes that speaks to me deeply in my core, Do all things from love not for love. This energy center is very important to me and opened me to new loving, healing energies. Our Inner well of this love is key for our fulfiment and inner satisfaction. Not chasing relationships especially toxic ones. We must first find this love within ourselves and radiate this outwards into the world.

Power of Music

One thing i've always found incredible is the power of music. It is a universal language that can deepen our own understanding of ourselves, our emotions and is a way to process them and a form of validation. It connects us to others, having a better understanding of one another. It can even open up our perspectives. I found for myself it helps me feel as one with the earth, nature and the creator. (Depending on the type of music of course) ive spend the past 12 years opening myself up to knew genres. Researching new music from all over the world. From different eras and cultures. And what ive found amazes me. Even as far as ceremonial and African tribal music.

Some of my favorite include, my roots of classic rock, Blues, Jazz, Motown, Classical, classic country, folk, 90s Grunge, newer genres like lo fi, chill step/chill hop, ambient, trap beats, hip hop, alternative

One genre that really took me by surprise and is really brilliant to me is Trip Hop, a psychedelic trippy kind of hip hop that seemed to be a little more British at first with bands like Portishead.

Some of the most beautiful experiences in my life were accompanied by music. The sound track of my life. And in experiences like roadtrips festivals and concerts

Core Values

One topic I've taken interest in is stripping us down to our roots, what matters to us deep down and what drives us to make decisions, prioritize and comes from our beliefs. This is our standards, morals, part of our own character. Now when I find myself lost, confused, and needing guidance this is something I go back to and reflect on. Some examples of this include

Resilience and Strength

Personal growth and development

Community and connection

Knowledge and learning

Talents, skills & abilities

Love & compassion

Purpose, Fulfilment, happiness

This is an important topic for me and for many. Where we find our meaning, life work and goals. What gives us our sense of a full life and living to our true authentic self. This also can be rooted back to our core values. To me my sense of purpose is not just one thing. It all comes into a balance with my many interests. Motherhood, Caregiving, Psychology, learning and knowledge. Sacred connection with the creator and with those around us in our relationships.

Divine White Light

The divine white light of the creator is something you must experience yourself to have a grasp or understanding. This may result from the other side , the dark times, loss and grief, mental illness, severe panic attacks. But it is what we learn from these times. How to cope. How to live and learn.  How to find the light in these times. Our own internal sources and inner well of what we co create with our higher power. This can also be achieved through prayer, affirmations, healing sound frequencies, cleansing with sage. We may even see this through relationships that become sacred with our family and loved ones

Power of Humor and Laughter

I think something that is such a simple concept, a universal language that isn't always utilized in healing is laughter. That's also my experience. With battling addictions, overthinking, uncomfortable parts of mental illness i find myself now more consciously looking for humor. A way I've broken out of my own darkness. There's nights with comedy specials, stand up or even 2am nights with the ones I love. Loosening up breaking through that mood to find that universal connection that we really do need to get through those challenging times and find more hope and even inspiration

Fashion Design

Something ive always have been greatly interested in is fashion design. Even as a child. I find so much motivation and inspiration in this area. Another reason for deeper meaning and purpose. Interestingly enough my uncle was a fashion designer in NYC before he moved to Paris before his Sad unexpected passing. Sometimes you wonder the role of genetics in our interests and hobbies. Ive always had a creative vision but it can be hard to express fully at times. As I've grown and evolved ive found creative outlets. Even such as this website, my own drawings and sketches. I take inspiration from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Ive found myself drawn towards Victorian and Edwardian fashion, 1800s and so on. The intricate design is beautiful and speaks to me. Maybe even at a past life level that arises for me.

Divine Feminine

Divine Feminine to me is important as an empowered woman. This can be represented in Motherhood, ability to carry a child, being a caregiver. aspects of high standards and morals (for me at least) Being a little more emotional and sensitive and being able to tap into that power. Because it can be shown in a negative light but can really be used as a superpower. Having a sort of goddess power that radiates. Mother Earth connection. Ancestors connection. Inner empowerment from our own strength and ability as women.

Highly Sensitive

HSP or highly sensitive person is not included in the Psychological handbook or, the DSM-5 but this to me is part of the Neurodivergence spectrum. For myself I experience this is as sensitivity to sounds, noise, loud music, crowds, hurtful words, being sensitive to energies, absorbing this more than the average person. This has taken me many years to realize this can be a superpower. For myself in Motherhood, dementia caregiving and having support and encouragement for others. I also believe this helps me with my creativity and outlets. I tend to feel things more deeply and see from a different perspective. In this sensitivity many can also form deeper relationships and find more purpose and meaning in these connections.
